We are searching for a qualified safety manager to join our team. Heimes Corp. is seeking a qualified person to run our safety department and assist managers in ensuring that work gets done in a safe and efficient manner. Heimes Corp. is a construction company based out of Omaha, Nebraska. We provide a wide range of services including but not limited to: Excavating, underground utilities, recycled concrete, plumbing, directional drilling, fiber splicing, underground storage tanks, wrecking, transportation, and hazardous materials cleanup/hauling (ESI).
Job Functions: Safety manager would be responsible for developing and executing health and safety plans to legal guidelines. Respond, investigate, document, and report all accidents & injuries. Handle worker’s compensation claims or damage claims. Prepare and conduct annual training for the field employees. Prepare and conduct weekly safety meetings for each division. Research and recommend solutions to issues or improvements to existing processes. Orientating new employees, during new employee orientation. Do jobsite visits to ensure employees are following safety guidelines.
Applicant must have experience using Microsoft office products. Experience in construction safety preferred. Knowledge of 29 CFR Part 1926 is required. Beneficial possessing knowledge or certifications in: OSHA10, OSHA30, confined space, fall protection, trenching & shoring, CPR, First Aid, AED, Forklift training. Certified in training any of those is also preferred.

The position is local and full time, and the pay varies on experience.
