Hawthorne Lane is Hiring an Office administrator Near Washington, DC

The organization needs an enthusiastic and courteous candidate to serve as the face of the organization. It will be your responsibility to maintain a warm and welcoming environment for receiving clients, guests, and staff as well as provide administrative and operational support to a busy legal team.

A candidate who takes pride in their customer service experience and has previous experience working in a law firm or general interest working in a legal setting will do extremely well in this role.

About the Job :

  • Build a sense of community within the organization by greeting residents and responding to client questions in a professional and caring manner.
  • Manage a busy phone line, prepare correspondence, and serve as a general gatekeeper with the public.
  • Creatively solve problems and adapt to new situations to exceed resident and staff expectations.
  • Coordinate and prepare conference rooms and manage a busy conference room calendar.
  • Order office supplies, manage vendor relationships, and proofread documents.
  • Support special projects and ongoing assignments to help the team meet important deadlines.
  • Prepare documents for upcoming meetings, update the team on approaching deadlines, and follow-through with appropriate action items.
  • Plan and manage staff and client event logistics.
  • Assist with billing and expense reimbursement processes.

About You :

Experienced. A minimum of 2-3 years’ of experience in a client or customer-facing role; hospitality, retail, or a similar Receptionist or Administrative role in a law firm is a plus;

a Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • Left-brained. You are very detail-oriented and logical in your work.
  • Energetic and eager. Everyone can count on you to jump in to help when needed.
  • Service-oriented. Developing positive relationships and good rapport with customers and clients is one of your great strengths.
  • Above and beyond. Always aiming to deliver exceptional support when needed.
  • Database savvy. You have extensive knowledge in database software and feel comfortable navigating through the software on a daily basis.
