Hawaiian Bros Island Grill - Field Support is Hiring a Franchise Development Manager Near Kansas, MO

As we continue to expand our national footprint, we are seeking a passionate individual to join our ohana as our first Franchise Development Manager.

Position Summary: As the Franchise Development Manager, you'll be at the heart of our Development department, providing exceptional administrative and managerial support to our executive team. Operating remotely with minimal supervision and a big sprinkle of aloha, this role involves handling confidential matters and executing various duties crucial to the franchise development process.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

    Franchise Inquiries and Candidate Approval Process:

  • Greet Franchise inquiries promptly and professionally with warmth and enthusiasm, making them feel like a part of our ‘ohana from the ‘get go’.

  • Pre-screen franchise consideration requests and provide appropriate responses.

  • Keep our ‘ohana organized by managing weekly distribution, tracking, and filing of critical documents such as FDDs, NDAs, Disclosure Exemption Certificates, and Franchise Applications.

  • Develop, maintain, and manage the franchise file structure using the DFIN Venue online secure file exchange.

    Candidate Communication and Coordination:

  • Initiate friendly and informative discussions with potential franchisees, focusing on understanding their investment interests, experiences, and motivations. Inquire about their decision-making processes to gain insights into their investment preferences and goals.

  • Coordinate team calls, meetings, and on-going communication via email and voicemail.

  • Arrange and manage in-market tours, Discovery calls, on-boarding, and orientations welcoming new franchisees with open arms.

  • Schedule franchise candidate in-market operations assessments as necessary

    Candidate Review and Management:

  • Maintain candidate status in FranConnect and update candidate information as required.

  • Request background, credit, and criminal reports as instructed and complete initial Franchise Application review.

  • Participate and share the aloha spirit during franchise candidate interviews and vetting processes, maintaining relevant reports and documentation.

    Reporting and Documentation:

  • Keep track of all the excitement by logging franchise inquiries, leads, and applications in FranConnect.

  • Whip up some awesome reports on our Franchise Pipeline, Master Development Schedule, and Site Selection Activity Spreadsheet.

  • Manage Real Estate Site Package submission and approval, LOI, Lease Review, and Lease Signing processes.

    Additional Support Responsibilities:

  • Assist in throwing the best in-market franchise recruiting events ever, with lots of aloha vibes.

  • Manage our stash of cool marketing materials, making sure we're always ready to share the love for Hawaiian Bros Island Grill

  • Process and track invoices related to franchising activities.

  • Support franchise recruitment marketing projects and outbound campaigns.

  • Coordinate company participation at industry trade shows, including event calendar management and attendee registration.

  • Serve as the HBros FranConnect administrator, managing inquiry/lead/application workflows and future franchise development workflows.

  • Some travel required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

  • Proven experience in administrative support, preferably in a franchise development or similar environment.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., FranConnect).

  • Previous experience in franchise operations or development is a plus.

  • Exceptional high level communication, organization, and time management skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to support franchise development efforts.
