Payroll Specialist

Hatalom has an immediate opening for a qualified Payroll Specialist to join our team. This candidate will be responsible for payroll processing and work closely with all departments as necessary to ensure payroll is processed in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with Hatalom Corporation policies and procedures and in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks to establish and maintain employee payroll records.
• Performs both pre and post payroll audits.
• Prepare and process all court-ordered garnishments.
• Review payroll reports to ensure accuracy of tax set up and payroll tax withholding.
• Input, review, and audit timekeeping and other payroll related records.
• Audit payroll deductions (voluntary and involuntary)
• Process advance, termination, and other out-of-cycle payments.
• Reconcile earnings and deduction totals.
• Review output registers and reports and correct out-of-balance conditions.
• Compile payroll data for management, auditors, and others.
• Assure that all employees receive timely responses to inquiries, questions, etc.
• Address and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Take initiative; demonstrate strong decision-making and organizational skills.
• Initiate best practices; develop efficiency improvements.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Experience/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
• 2 - 4 years' experience working in payroll
• Experience managing payroll for a company with 180 employees
• Experience with creating internal check lists (New hire, Termination, Year-begin, Year-end, etc.)
• Demonstrated proficiency in payroll
• Microsoft Office Suite, and other databases
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, high attention to detail, excellent troubleshooting skills, and creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to appropriately handle confidential information and maintain confidence
• Experience working in Unanet and/or Paychex

Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a Secret Level DoD Clearance.

LOCATION: Orlando, FL - relocation assistance is not available for this position.
