Requirements

Successful candidates will possess the following skills/experience:

Job Description

The Payroll Specialist/Analyst will support AGPM’s Payroll and HR processes. The Payroll Specialist/Analyst will report to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for various Financial Analysis, Human Resources, Payroll responsibilities.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Process payroll for multiple companies and operating entities
  • Onboard new employees 
  • Process employees pay changes, position changes, departments, new hires, and terminations 
  • Manage information on hours worked for each employee 
  • Work with managers to review time & labor related items
  • Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc. 
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors 
  • Assist with open enrollment, 401k enrollment, etc.
  • Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc. 
  • Work collaboratively with accounting team within organization
  • Utilize math skills to analyze key financial data
  • Prepare financial reports on a determined schedule
  • Present financial reports and estimates to decision makers within the organization
  • Provide solutions to accounting issues as they arise
  • Investigate and provide feedback on accounting irregularities

Experience & Certifications:

Proven experience as payroll specialist

Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices

Understanding of workers compensation 

Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field 

Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software (Paylocity a plus)

Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality

Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail

Excellent communication skills

Strong critical thinking skills

Bachelor's degree preferred
