The Accounting Specialist Sr. will oversee accounting operations, which include financial accounting, accounts payable, and receivable. In 2024, this position will be relocated to Cartersville, GA. The current office in Atlanta, GA, is temporary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage accounting operations, which include financial accounting, accounts payable, and payroll.
• Keep accurate records of incoming and outgoing payments to the organization.
• Collaborate with team members to provide necessary financial reports to senior-level managers
• Review financial information and documents quarterly and annual basis.
• Coordinates the preparation of the corporate tax return.
• Manage client accounts and payment schedules.
• Manage the system of internal controls over accounting functions to minimize risk.
• Oversees the preparation of periodic financial statements and the corporate annual report.
• Ensures that financial reports comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
• Handle general ledger bookkeeping where necessary.
• Look for and provide solutions for accounting irregularities.
• Assists external auditors and provides required statements and information for the annual audit.
• Reviews budget reports and assists other departments in preparing annual budgets.
• Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
• Complies with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Identifies and recommends updates to accounting processes and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5 years of prior experience in accounting, tax, and financial analysis.
• Bi-lingual (English, Korean) skills.
• Excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Mastery of accounting and tax preparation software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software.
• Strong Excel skills: Pivot Table, V-Lookups, filters, etc
• Relocation is required to Cartersville, GA, in the year 2024.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Business Administration preferred.
• Five years or more of related experience is required.
• Bilingual in English and Korean is a plus.
• Consolidate work experience preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant designation is highly preferred.
