Position: Permanent, Full Time Accounting Specialist - 100% On-site

Location : Conklin Metal Corporate Headquarters, Atlanta (Howell Mill area)

Compensation : $35 per hour compensation with an excellent benefits package.

Our client, Conklin Metal Industries, a leading distributor of sheet metal, HVAC, and duct fabrication supplies, is seeking a Corporate Accounting Specialist to join their team. With a legacy dating back to 1874, they are a fourth-generation family-owned business dedicated to serving customers across the southeastern U.S.

Position Overview:

As a Corporate Accounting Specialist, you will play a vital role in the accounting department, supporting Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you'll wear multiple hats and contribute to various aspects of the financial operations.

Responsibilities :

• Process purchase order and vendor expense invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with weekly check runs and cash applications to customer accounts.
• Perform credit and rebill functions for customer invoices.
• Support company credit card expense reconciliation and fixed asset maintenance.
• Undertake special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications :

• 2 to 3 years of general accounting experience.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• Experience with general ledger and journal entry posting.
• Proficiency in reconciling bank and credit card accounts.
• Previous exposure to wholesale distribution, large-scale construction, or HVAC contracting preferred.
• Familiarity with multi-jurisdiction sales tax and exemptions preferred.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
