Entertainment Industry is Hiring a Studio Operations Accounting Specialist Near Atlanta, GA

Job Description

The Accounting Specialist will provide accounting support to the following areas, including accounts payable, production, and operations. The main responsibilities include the timely and accurate billing of invoices as well as the effective management of accounts receivable. Maintaining effective communication with both internal and external customers is vital in this position to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies to ensure the timely collection of revenue. Proficient use of the rental and billing software used for tracking of accounts payable, receivables, and client invoicing is required.

Position Type:

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Essential Job Functions

  • Invoicing of all sales orders.
  • Ability to distribute all invoices to clients in a timely manner.
  • Prepare check run detail for sub-rental payments.
  • Research and deliver accurate documentation for financial audits.
  • Fielding customer and internal department account inquiries and requests.
  • Weekly review and collection efforts of aging.
  • Statement of Account, bi-weekly distribution.
  • Building billing schedules for multi asset orders.
  • Ability to file and scan documents to maintain historical records.
  • Maintain regular reporting via the accounting software.
  • Perform duties assigned by departmental Director.
  • Provide timely and accurate processing by check run deadlines.
  • Follow all procedures relating to internal accounting in order to maintain the company’s financial security.
  • Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
  • Ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Competencies and Experience:

  • Deliver optimal service to internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Possess strong documentation skills as well as attention to detail.
  • Solid NetSuite (or similar ERP platform) knowledge/experience.
  • Familiar with Bill.com Software and Rental Tracker Software.
  • Highly productive, with a sense of the importance of quality and accuracy.
  • Multi-tasking and detailed oriented a must.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and yet be compatible within a team environment.
  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or minimum of 3 years’ experience in general or specialized accounting functions.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. In addition, this job will require an organized office space, including daily filing and destroying of documents.
