I am looking for a part-time assistant for a busy stylist in Mid-City. This is a great opportunity for a college student or someone with an interest in a career in hair and beauty who wants to work part-time hours.

About Me:

I’m a seasoned stylist running my own salon and boutique in Mid-City. I am hiring an assistant to help with personal and salon-related tasks. I’m willing to teach and train the right person.

Responsibilities include:

• Running errands
• Merchandising and tagging items
• Managing seasonal merchandise
• Pricing and billing tasks
• Inventory management
• Salon/boutique area cleaning and organization (no deep cleaning required)
• Shampooing clients
• Uploading receipts to Quickbooks
• Providing customer service (handling client requests, scheduling appointments, etc.)
• Social media posting
• Website updates

The above is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities. Often, needs arise on the fly, and I'm seeking someone who can adapt and problem-solve as situations arise.

You are:

• Organized and detail-oriented
• Eager to learn and grow
• Polite and maintain a professional demeanor
• Able to thrive in a dynamic, occasionally chaotic environment
• Ideally interested in fashion and hair
• Bonus if you're proficient with a sewing machine
• Must have reliable transportation and be located near Mid-City

Hours:

• Minimum 10 hours per week
• Preferably available Fridays and Saturdays
• More hours may be available
• Flexibility is key
• Some tasks can be completed remotely

Pay for this job is DOE, and starts at $20/hour.
