A physically disabled graduate student at UCLA is looking to hire a long term caregiver to join her team. Caregiving experience is preferred but not required (training will be provided one-on-one with the client). Current shift options are from 9am-11pm Mondays-Thursdays with occasional free time and paid breaks. Our ideal candidate is hardworking, empathetic, social, and capable of providing high-quality personal and medical care to help our client maintain independence in all aspects of her life.

Essential Job Duties (include but are not limited to):

• Cooking & preparing meals
• Running errands
• Grocery shopping
• Assisting with showering, toilet/hygiene
• Assisting with getting dressed, makeup, and hair styling
• Going out with client to appointments, outings or events (social and school related)
• Light housekeeping - some daily chores of cleaning a small apartment
• Transferring to and from wheelchair**

**must be able to lift 60 pounds

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

-Must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable driving a wheelchair accessible van once provided with proper training

-Must have a minimum high school degree or GED equivalent

-Must be vaccinated against COVID-19

-The applicant must be comfortable with pet care in addition to caregiving tasks, as the client owns a small dog

-The applicant must be aware that this job requires physical labor, and must inform the client of all preexisting health conditions and planned medical procedures during the interview process in order to maintain a safe work environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 per hour
