Desscription:

The salon assistant is responsible for assisting the salon team and the day-to-day operations of the salon, and facilities. This position has a strong focus on guest satisfaction, enhancing the guest experience, achieving the goals set forth by the salon management team.The right candidate will Be eager to learn and assist the staff with all aspects of day to day care for the salon clients. The right candidate should have familiarity with web-based online booking software e-commerce and social media, and all aspects of nail salon supply ordering and stocking.

Job Requirements:

• Ensures pertinent information is shared through the appropriate channels such as daily lineup, emails, bulletin board, or other communications.
• Knows safety procedures and acts as guide for guests and associates in the event of emergency.
• Maintains a positive attitude and contributes toward a quality, respectful, team oriented work environment.
• Works with salon team to improve service performance.
• Works to immediately resolve guest requests, complaints or concerns to ensure a satisfactory experience.
• Knowledgeable on all salon services, prices and policies and procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring a smooth flow of daily operations and a satisfactory guest experience at all times.
• Schedules services for groups, weddings, private parties, and other special events.
• Handles all billing issues/disputes, or other financial inquiries as it relates to billing with in scope of Managers oversight.
• Remains visible in Front of the salon areas, supporting associate, member, and guest needs.

Creates orders for supplies and purchase orders, keeping accurate, detailed records on items received, backordered, or delayed, following up with purchasing departments, accounting and vendors as needed. Participates and attends all meetings and training sessions as requested/required. Helps coordinate, conduct and complete inventory counts for linen, retail, and all supplies Updates software service codes, prices, and commissions as needed. Keeps Owner informed of all guest, staff, and facility issues. Performs other tasks or projects as assigned by Owner

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Salon management: 2 years (Required)
• Nail care: 2 years (Preferred)

Language:

• English (Required)

License/Certification:

• Nail Technician License (Preferred)
