Administrative Assistant (Claims Assistant)

The Administrative Assistant primarily supports the claims department but also uses his/her proficiency with MS Office and other skills and talents to support the work of other individuals. It’s all part of helping to keep the organization running smoothly! From daily data and claims entry to file set-up and claim coordination … there’s never a dull moment, which is perfect for an efficient, detail-minded individual like you! This position must be filled by a cheery, service-oriented, accommodating person, and the successful individual will have plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enter information into the company’s claim management system
  • Answer claimant questions on status and required information
  • Support the work of claim analysts and investigators by handling the background and more clerical aspects of the process
  • Work includes data entry, file set-up, correspondence with claimants
  • Review, sort, track, and file documents
  • Provide project support to Claims Supervisor, Claim Analysts and others
  • Work smartly and conscientiously to ensure timely claim handling and resolution
  • Support the company with other administrative tasks as needed

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a professional administrative assistant
  • Claims experience would be an asset, but we are willing to train
  • Experience in MS Suite (please list all programs/software you use and your level of proficiency with each)
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Comfortable communicating with other employees and clients at various levels of any organization
  • Work with tact and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to pass a background check
