JobDescription :

Our client isseeking a Medical Gas Service Technician responsible forinstallation troubleshooting repairing and maintaining vacuum pumpsand air compressors in healthcare facilities.

• Servicing accounts for testingand certification of medical gassystems.
• Maintenance repair andinstallation of medical gas pipelinesystems.
• Perform regular preventivemaintenance on various manufacturers’ pumps andcompressors.
• Provide thorough and accuratetrouble shooting and repair of medical vacuum pumps and aircompressors (1.525HP).
• Troubleshooting 230 / 460VAC 3phase motors and controls.
• Diagnose problems replace andrepair parts test and makeadjustments.
• Knowledge of control panels andability to work inside cabinets with rated voltages of208460.
• Use of a variety of hand andpower tools electric meters and material handling equipment toperform duties.
• Detect faulty operationsdefective material and report those and any unusual situations toproper supervisor.
• Comply with safety regulationsand maintain clean and orderly workareas.
• Understand operating manuals forpreventative maintenanceservice.
• Consult / assist in sales asnecessary.
• Pass along leads to therespective Sales Representative whenreceived.
• May require travel to othermarkets to supply support to other service personnel infacilitating scheduling and completing repair / PM service workorders.
• Utilize Field Aware system forjob scheduling job tracking and timereporting.

Qualifications :

Strong mechanicalaptitude with at least 2 years’ experience in one or moreof the following or related areas : (Electrical : Low / High voltagecontrol panels sensors wiring cabling;

Industrial HVAC or Plumbingwith experience in PumpsCompressors)

• Experience in medical gasindustry is desirable but notrequired.
• Commitment to obtain ASSE 6005certification within 90 180 days from start ofposition.
• Commitment to complete the FormsTools & Requirements and Level 1 sections of the MedicalGas Technician Training Record within 90 180 days from start ofposition.
• Commitment to obtain ASSE 6040certification within 18 months from start ofposition.
• Basic computer skills andexperience with Microsoft applications including Word Excel andOutlook.
• Highly organized exceptionalcustomer service skills & professional appearance andbehavior.
• Ability to travel work flexiblehours & adjust the schedule as required to meet customerneeds.
• Must show commitment to thecompany’s core beliefs of integrity safety and customerservice.

Expectations :

• This is a fulltimeposition and hours of work are typically MondayFriday but will varybased on the requirements of the assigned job / facility. Overtimerequired.
• This job can include some nightsand weekends and some overnight travel dependent on job / facilityneeds.
• 75% or more of travel may berequired with possible overnightstays.

Physical Demands :

• Ability to lift up to50lbs.
• Ability to carry equipment andclimb ladders.
• Ability to sit stand lift bendhold equipment and drive for extended periods oftime.
