We need a Learning and Development Specialist to help drive the learning and development within our USP Market Access organization. The ideal candidate for the role will have experience navigating learning management systems, complex matrixed teams, organizational skills, and designing SCORM (standards for e-learning) files within various web applications aligned to advancing learning and development technology within Market Access.

In this role, you will be driving the planning and execution of orientation for new hires into the organization, all learning journeys for new and established employees and ensure assets are built and approved. As the Learning and Development Specialist you will lead evaluations of the training department and team to ensure a continuous improvement environment and enhanced learning experiences are built.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead critical activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include all but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop robust on-boarding and training journeys with already developed content for new hires to get them acclimated to both GSK’s product portfolio and US to Market Access
  • Provide organization to keep all L&D projects aligned and within time frames.
  • Provide pre- and post-assessments for innovative opportunities that can increase skills and keep teams current with industry changes and MA needs.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) including preparing leadership reports for training needs, monitoring compliance adherence, and tracking learners’ progress related to training initiatives
  • Evaluate the current LMS reports to assess trends, opportunities, and best practices to share with leaders
  • Manage large amounts of data, training materials, and other resources
  • Ensure individual users’ information is accurately aligned with the roles and responsibilities of the BU teams
  • Consult regularly with vendor of LMS on current needs, issues, and future enhancements
  • Consult with the Director Sales / Marketing Training on creative LMS platform design strategies for optimal learner experience

Why You?

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree
  • 1 year of project management experience.
  • 30% of time ability to travel for training events, area meetings, and field rides. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Market Access experience with emphasis on Learning and Development, LMS, and adult learning
  • At least 2 years previous experience working in the pharmaceutical biotech and/or healthcare industry.
  • High degree of creativity and innovation in developing new approaches, processes, and methodologies
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Ability to influence without authority across matrixed organizations
  • Substantive project management experience that can keep multiple projects on track and within guidelines
  • Experience vetting vendors and ensuring accountability to timelines
  • Experience in Learning Management Systems (LMS) creating learning journeys and page builder
