Position Overview:
As a Baker, you will play a vital role in our kitchen operations, responsible for preparing and baking a variety of delicious breakfast pastries, bread, and other baked goods with precision and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience in a bakery setting, a passion for creating high-quality baked goods, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Baking Preparation:
-Prepare doughs, batters, and other ingredients according to recipes and established standards.
-Utilize baking equipment and techniques to produce a variety of breakfast pastries, bread, and other baked goods.
2. Baking and Production:
-Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure proper cooking and desired results.
-Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely production and availability of baked goods.
3. Quality Control:
-Maintain the freshness and quality of all baked goods through proper storage and handling procedures.
-Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
4. Team Collaboration:
-Work collaboratively with other kitchen team members to coordinate baking schedules and production timelines.
-Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate order fulfillment and inventory management.
5. Cleaning and Sanitation:
-Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
-Follow proper sanitation procedures to ensure food safety and compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications:
-Previous experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef in a bakery or restaurant setting is preferred.
-Knowledge and passion for baking, with the ability to produce high-quality pastries, bread, and other baked goods.
-Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
-Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
-Familiarity with baking equipment and utensils.
-Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
