Job Summary

SJR Client Service Interns help to power thecontent engine that ensures SJR is seen as a leading agency indigital contentsolutionsaround the world.

Our Client Services Interns are eager to get involved and talented all-rounders, equal parts project manager, researcher and team coordinator. They are intuitive above all else, able to decode the nuances of the clients we work with and the role of the client services department in a creative, business solution-oriented, high-pressure context.

A motivated learner and strategic thinker with a can-do attitude, the Client Service Intern is interested in the latest cultural and digital trends and can apply their knowledge, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills. They are self-starters who can deliver detail-oriented work, participate in group discussions, and assist the client service engine across projects.

Responsibilities

Account Coordination (70%)

• Schedules, attends, and participates in weekly team status meetings/client meetings (in some instances)
• Proactively shares ideas and updates per the agenda with the Account team
• Takes notes and distributes them immediately following to SJR team.
• Organizes reports and action items, packages into deliverables for Account Executive and internal teams
• Assists account with timelines and trackers
• Assists with updating key information into a project management application (e.g., Monday) for ongoing tracking and action
• May be asked to use social listening tools to monitor and analyze conversations and trends

Growth Business Development Operations (20%)

• Conducts research to identify opportunities with existing and new clients
• Stays on top of digital and social trends and industry news for assigned/new client(s) 

Creative Editorial (10%)

• Research content topics or communication opportunities to provide detailed insight to the teams
• Participates in creative ideation, brainstorming and concept development
• Occasionally uploads content to client CMS, manages subbing, publishes, and notifies internal teams

About SJR’s Internship Program

SJR’s Internship Program supports a diverse cohort of students and recent graduates in their pursuit to their chosen career paths in the journalism, creative and marketing communications industries. The 12-week program offers a unique experience working side by side with industry experts on real-world assignments while being mentored and coached. The program provides a space for building meaningful relationships and professional development.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting is $16/hr. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
