Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring high-quality culinary dishes are served to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking activities
- Plan and create innovative menus that meet quality standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Monitor food and labor costs to maintain budgetary guidelines
- Train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Collaborate with management to develop seasonal offerings and specials
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food management, kitchen operations, and hospitality industry standards
- Excellent understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen management
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining a positive work environment
- Degree in Culinary Arts or relevant field is preferred
- Certification in Food Service Management is a plus
