Greenberg Traurig is Hiring a Receptionist Near Washington, DC

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Receptionist in our Washington, DC office. We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.

Position Summary:

The Receptionist receives and greets visitors and provides support to the conference center and hospitality department. This position will perform a variety of administrative tasks to support our guests and office needs. Candidate should also be flexible to work overtime as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Represents the firm in a professional manner by providing customer focused service
  • Maintains visitor log and promptly notifies internal teams of guest arrivals; greets and escorts visitors to assigned locations
  • Proactively anticipates visitor’s needs, and provides clear communication between reception and internal teams to exceed expectations and makes an exceptional first impression
  • Answers incoming calls and directs them appropriately
  • Follows established protocols, utilizes discretion, and adheres to confidentiality policies
  • Responds to department inquiries in a timely manner and directs them appropriately through written and verbal communication
  • Coordinates room reservations and proactively monitors schedules to utilize inventory and avoids scheduling conflicts
  • Assists with food orders, meeting set up, and responds to transportation requests.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities assigned to the hospitality department 

Skills & Competencies:

  • High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
  • Provide outstanding client service, meet high quality standards for services and meet or exceed client expectations. Proactive in seeking innovative ways in which to help others
  • Position also requires the ability to meet strict deadlines, effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentation
  • Candidate must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Discretion to recognize confidential, sensitive, and proprietary information and maintain such information as confidential

Qualifications & Prior Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience; College Degree in Hospitality Management is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional services environment; strong background and experience with guest relations
  • Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly
