Summary/Objective: Sell GSG’s product lines and services, develop new accounts, and provide courteous service to customers in order to secure maximum profitable sales volume within the company policy guidelines, giving utmost attention to City Sales customers.

Essential Functions:

As the City Sales Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Create good rapport with customers via telephone or in person. The representative must have a thorough knowledge of screen printing, embroidery, digital imaging, heat transfer, sign manufacturing and vinyl decorating in order to properly field customers’ questions and requests.
  • Take sales calls, input orders into the computer system.
  • Provides service and technical sales assistance to City Sales customers by setting up customer accounts, maintaining established accounts, taking sales orders, fielding questions concerning products, pulling orders for customers, tendering COD sales, and helping customer get merchandise to their vehicle.
  • Balances cash drawers at the close of each business day. Must adhere to City Sales operational procedures concerning cash, checks, credit cards, journals, and accounting guidelines.
  • Monitors open order audit report for will-call orders and researches any discrepancies.
  • Maintains City Sales area, creating new product displays as needed. Maintains sample area, and requisitioning samples as needed.
  • Maintains refreshment area for customers.
  • Regular attendance is required. Normal City Sales business hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Experience and Skills:

Education or Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

Some college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to converse clearly and cordially over the telephone.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Technical Skills

Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, email, and the ability to learn other systems.
