The Opportunity
You are an experienced kitchen manager who loves to lead people. You love Haitian food and the joy it brings to people.
You MUST currently have your ServSafe Manager Certificate.
1,000 catering meals is a normal day for us.
Part of our current work is responding to the refugee crisis.
We are feeding hundreds of Haitians who have recently arrived in the U.S. We are giving them a sense of home and belonging with our food.
We are also running a food truck that is in high demand.
Our challenge is finding someone who can bring structure to all this growth.
You will lead a team and establish systems to help us grow to serve many thousands of people daily.
Inventory, food prep, food delivery, and staff checklists are some of the systems we need.
If you have the experience to bring order, speed, and efficiency in a warm, inviting environment we would love to have you join our team.
Our Company
Gourmet Kreyol is New England's first Haitian food truck. We started doing parties 2 years ago and now serve 1,000 catering meals daily.
Our founder, Chef Nathalie comes from a family that ran a successful Haitian restaurant in Miami for 20 years.
Our clients include the City of Boston, City of Cambridge, MIT, and many corporations.
We are growing fast and we need capable professionals like you.
Your Skills/Experience
2 years experience running a kitchen team
2 years producing 1,000 meals per day.
1 year experience managing inventory
ServSafe Certification
Bonus Skills
Knowledge of Haitian Cuisine
Speak Haitian Kreyol
1 year Food Truck experience
Pay
This is a full time position.
Pay will be according to experience
We are willing to pay for qualified professionals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
