DaVita Kidney Care is bringing our industry-leading clinical quality to patients on-site at skilled nursing facilities (SNF) through a new team called DSD (DaVita SNF Dialysis). Approximately 10% of all dialysis patients reside in a SNF and are transported to dialysis three times a week placing a significant burden on patients and adding significant avoidable costs to the health care system. DSD teammates will have access to all the capabilities and resources DaVita has to offer, and will work to quickly leverage these to develop the infrastructure and rapidly grow the new service line. Ideal teammates will have significant experience within DaVita, get energized by a start-up type environment and improving the lives of patients, and have a track record of finding ways to GSD. Teammates must be comfortable working autonomously and have demonstrated the ability to collaborate with cross-functional resources across the Village.

The DaVita DSD team is seeking a Regional Operations Manager (ROM) with an entrepreneurial spirit to improve care for tens of thousands of dialysis patients. As a ROM, you will be responsible for management and oversight of dialysis operations within an assigned geography for the post-acute services operating division. This position provides strategic and tactical leadership, counsel and direction to the field operations management of DaVita to ensure safe, efficient, therapeutic and ethical patient care. Additionally, this position identifies and develops strategic growth opportunities, monitors division performance, and works closely with senior leadership to develop competitive strategies in alignment with DaVita’s mission and values to support DaVita Post-Acute services achieving assigned clinical and financial objectives and, ultimately, a leading position within the assigned geography for Post-Acute dialysis services. This position has budget and P&L accountability.

Job duties:

  • Lead local discharge planner and physician engagement
  • Operational accountability (clinical and P&L) for local skilled nursing facility ( SNF) dialysis operations
  • Manage financial and revenue growth, operations and labor management, contract management, and clinical outcomes within the division leading to achieving clinical and financial goals.
  • Management of local admissions processes
  • Accountable for program growth, awareness, and marketing for new and existing SNF locations
  • Skilled nursing facilities (SNF) account management including contract renewals
  • Additional responsibilities as required

Required/Desired Skills:

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Clinical experience preferred
  • 5 years dialysis clinical and leadership experience preferred
