Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Vice President of Business Development - Healthcare & Senior Living to oversee sales for our North American food services management business across various facilities. The ideal candidate is an accomplished sales executive with strong leadership skills. We are looking for a professional who is innovative, strategic, results-driven, and adept at cultivating valuable partnerships. They must possess a forward-thinking vision, devise effective sales strategies, and have a background in selling contract food service management within healthcare settings.
The Vice President of Business Development - Healthcare & Senior Living will drive sales and establish accounts by focusing on selling facility management solutions within the Healthcare and Senior Services sector. They will target both public and private institutional clients, creating comprehensive cafeteria, vending, and food services management solutions to launch our new division. Candidates for this role should have prior experience in selling contract food service management in healthcare settings.
This is a remote position with substantial travel requirements (up to 80%).
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies individually and as part of a team to meet sales targets.
  • Create and implement business plans, budgets, and forecasts to achieve sales goals and market growth targets.
  • Manage sales processes, optimize sales training, and ensure effective CRM data management.
  • Collaborate with senior sales and operations leadership to enhance sales processes and foster stakeholder relationships.
  • Research growth strategies and competitor practices to implement new sales strategies.
  • Develop a strategic plan for sustained sales growth in the designated segment area.
  • Lead sales force effectiveness and manage essential functions for sales productivity and account portfolio management.
  • Build internal relationships to drive market growth and promote comprehensive solution offerings.
  • Maintain up-to-date CRM databases and communicate effectively with senior leadership and the Business Development team.
  • Attend client meetings, set up tastings, and ensure bid requirements are met while building strong client relationships.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or significant sales leadership experience/training.
  • Minimum 8 years of consultative sales experience with complex contracts.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience selling contract food service management solutions to Healthcare institutions.
  • Minimum 5 years of operational leadership in food service.
  • Experience in managing and/or selling large volume, complex contracts.
  • Strong analytical skills for financial and operational data interpretation.
  • Proven success in negotiating contracts nationally.
  • Familiarity with evaluating and responding to RFPs/RFIs.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on workplace solutions and enhancing client conversion rates.
  • Established client relationships with healthcare institutions in the U.S.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead in a high-volume business.
  • Proficient in persuasion, sales influence, and innovative thinking.
  • Values of accountability, reliability, and a proactive attitude.
