Coordinator for Strategic Marketing and Communications, Student Housing Residential Operations - Georgetown University
Job Overview
The Coordinator for Strategic Marketing and Communications develops and executes marketing and communications strategies for Residential Living units. By developing and maintaining a marketing plan for academic year housing and summer conferences, they assess, identify and develop recruitment and retention strategies to meet identified academic and summer housing occupancy goals. Additionally, they coordinate all social media initiatives for the department, using existing and developing platforms; design and manage the Residential Living website; and lead the team in compiling and presenting departmental reports, including the annual report.
Work Interactions
Reporting directly to the Director for Business Development & Summer Operations, the Coordinator for Strategic Marketing and Communications works with another coordinator, and supervises one to two student assistants; works closely with all Residential Living units in the development of all marketing and communication projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
3 to 5 years of experience working in marketing and communications
Highly innovative
Excellent communication and writing skills, as well as graphic design
Proficient with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or similar products
Skilled in Excel and Word. Possess practical knowledge of Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok
Preferred qualifications
Experience with student housing/higher education and/or hotel management/hospitality
Experience with photography and video
