Location: Sierra Plastics - El Paso, TX
Status: Full Time – Overtime as necessary
Job Requirements
  • High School diploma
  • 3-5 years of human resource generalist experience
  • Bilingual English & Spanish
  • High level of interpersonal communication skill and professionalism
  • Ability to act with integrity and confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of computer programs
Job Preferences
  • Associates degree in human resources or business related field
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • HR Certification
  • HRIS Software experience
Job Summary
Responsible to recruit, train, and on-board, and guide employees through benefits & company programs. Responsible to represent both the employee and the company, resolve employee relations matters, performance management and compliance.
Essential Job Functions
  • Oversee applicant screening process, conduct, and schedule interviews, develop recruitment strategy to maintain plant staffing.
  • Organize and manage onboarding and orientation processes for all new staff members.
  • Manage and direct all employee relations issues, make recommendations to management for corrective action, ensure all documentation and processes are followed.
  • Manages bi-weekly payroll, FMLA, leaves of absence record keeping, responds to all employee requests regarding absences and leaves.
  • Maintain confidential and accurate personnel records for all staff.
  • Oversee all aspects of human resource functions and required reporting; discipline, performance evaluations, workers compensation, payroll, etc.
  • Design and implement strategic corporate HR programs.
  • Manage multi-site human resources initiatives and delegate functions to appropriate hr support staff.
  • Coordinate lean, efficient programs to improve hr related activities.
  • Identify employee training needs and coordinate training resources and track compliance with training
  • standard.
  • Additional Ad-Hoc projects as assigned.
