POSITION SUMMARY:

Ged Lawyers, LLP located in Boca Raton, Florida is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal specialized in bodily injury cases on the plaintiff’s side to join our dynamic firm. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in all aspects of case management, from intake to trial preparation, ensuring the highest level of support for our clients. Including, creating legal documents, conducting legal research for trial preparation, managing, and organizing case files in preparation for trial or settlement. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Under the supervision of an attorney:

• Draft all required pleadings, and motions, including discovery responses.
• Assist the attorney with mediation, deposition, and hearing preparation.
• Manage a case load and ensure files are trial ready.
• Must have trial preparation expertise and assist with in-house mock trials.
• Manage trial deadlines, prepare pre-trial binders/preparations.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, aiding with client meetings, submitting motions, and coordinating witnesses.
• Preparing routine correspondence.
• Maintaining attorneys’ calendar.
• Must have strong organizational skills; be able to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
• Must exercise sound judgment, work independently, and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must have 3-5 years of experience as a Paralegal for a personal injury law firm (plaintiff), required.
• Florida Registered or Certified paralegals referred, but not necessary.
• Excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal, organizational, decision making, relationship building and time management skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Prior experience with Litify a plus and e-filing systems in state and federal courts.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
