FSMG is Hiring a Public Relations Assistant Near Washington, DC

Job Summary:

We are looking for someone who will serve as an integral member of the marketing and sales team. The successful candidate will assist the Marketing Manager in establishing a successful public relations strategy, including event coordination and campaign development.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Management and execution of projects as assigned by the Marketing Manager
  • Integrating PR campaigns with customer promotions with marketing manager and sales manager
  • Staying up to date with industry and competitive trends and regularly sharing notable news stories & opportunities with sales and marketing
  • Promoting the company's products and services by working with other departments if necessary
  • Establishing and refining measurement strategies for PR campaigns in conjunction with the marketing manager

Preferred Attributes:

  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills, including the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Maintain a balance between strategic thinking and execution in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be creative and resourceful
  • Personable and self-confident
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (both in writing and verbally).
  • Entrepreneurship attitude and drive to be successful

Requirements:

  • B.A./B.S. in Marketing, Public Relations or related discipline
  • An understanding of public relations processes and 1-2 years of media relations experience in an agency or corporate environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Positive, proactive, outgoing, and professional personality
