The Public Relations Director leads enterprise strategy for managing, advancing, and protecting organization reputation and brand. Leads the development of advocacy-related public relations programs, strategies, and tactics to build relationships with key community and thought leaders and policymakers to advance organization initiatives. This person will develop and maintain enterprise strategy for Issue management and advance and protect the organizations brand. This person will set strategy and implement advocacy-related media relations efforts and campaigns tied to economic policy. They will also write media-facing documents that are often complex, technical or sensitive in nature. The Public Relations Director will also provide senior-level counsel and support executives and leadership in media interactions.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
