An Accounts Payable Specialist performs, but is not limited to the following duties:

• Handle full-cycle accounts payable including receipt of vendor invoice or employee expenditure, account coding, data entry, and payment processing
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and check payments.
  • Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Correspond with employees/vendors and respond to inquiries.
  • Ensure proper e-filing and storage of AP invoices and processed documentation.
  • Create SubK invoices once Payroll exports timesheets, reviewing total hours to correspond with supporting documentation prior to submission for approval.
• Lead for FSA's travel and expense reimbursement program.
  • Execute, administer, and communicate the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and FSA policies and procedures as required.
  • Handle travel advances requests and travel authorizations from employees including funding verification.
  • Process expense reimbursements for payment.
• Maintain and manage FSA corporate credit card program by issuing new card to employees that apply and assisting employees with any issues.
  • Reconcile Travel credit cards.
  • Enter travel vouchers to appropriate project codes.
  • Maintain airfare credits and personal travel charges.
• Manage Deltek T&E:
  • Give expense seat access to new employees, as well as remove access once the employee is termed .
  • Assist employees/OSS/RDs with using Deltek Expense.

An Accounts Payable Specialist must meet the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in accounts payable.
• Experience with A/P in government contracting is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of Deltek/Costpoint preferred.
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, professionals and management and to work within a team and self-directed environment.
• Experience with Form 1099 preparation.
• Microsoft Office and strong analytical skills a must.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while following a timeline for month-end closing process and adjust to changing priorities.
