As a leader of FrontLine Service’s Development team, the Associate Director of Development is responsible for the creation and delivery of agency fundraising and communications goals. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Associate Director will supervise the Communications Specialist and Grant Writer positions, overseeing and ensuring that grant funding and communications goals are reached. The Associate Director is a member of the agency’s management team and will partner with colleagues to identify new opportunities for creating and adapting compelling, donor- and community-focused content.
This position will be charged with developing clear, compelling, and high-impact content for digital marketing, proposals, stewardship reports, marketing materials, event and marketing collateral, speech writing and talking points, web and social media content, print publications, and other communication pieces. The Associate Director will create and implement marketing and communications strategies with the goal of increasing community awareness about the mission and services of FrontLine, and growing the agency’s philanthropic supporters.
This is an exempt, non-union position.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of three years of related fundraising or writing experience. Experience with Raiser’s Edge fundraising software preferred.
Qualified candidates will be a seasoned and versatile writer and communicator with outstanding editing skills, who is also eager to receive and incorporate constructive feedback regarding their writing. They will be a team player who is creative, flexible, personable, enterprising, and entrepreneurial. They will be a self-starter and strong finisher with a focus on customer service. This candidate should possess excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, SharePoint, and Excel), and database management skills. The candidate must be highly organized with the ability to implement systems and follow-up processes, able to effectively work under pressure, use independent judgment, and produce a quality work product within tight time constraints.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
