Freedom Technology Solutions Group is Hiring a Senior Software Engineer Near St. Louis, MO
Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer in the (Scott AFB, IL or St. Louis, MO Area) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leveraging their expertise in full stack development of a geospatial data platform for the Air Force/Air Mobility Command Intelligence group. This position will consist of remote work 3 days a week and 2 days on site at Scott AFB, IL with the customer gathering development requirements and customer facing meetings. The staging and production deployments will utilize the Air Forces Platform One and ODIN ISR programs for delivery of software capabilities to the warfighter.
- Hit the ground running developing against an existing code base on the Unclassified IL4 environment
- Following software development and engineering best practices
- Integration of code from other developers through merge requests
- CI/CD using GitLab
- Work with the database engineer to integrate any data platform optimizations into the front end and back end code base for capability delivery
- Working with Envision, GDSS, MEIS, UDL teams for API integration of data structures used to support air mission risk models
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field
- 8 year’s of proven experience in configuring GIS solutions and implementing workflows
- Strong understanding of GIS databases, applications, and production systems
- Proficiency in GIS tools, particularly QGIS and Esri products
- Solid understanding of Web based GIS applications and principles, including data ingestion workflows and schema development
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience in participating in small project teams for GIS development and implementation
- Familiarity with GIS analysis techniques including Air Mission and Risks
- Familiarity with Air Force Platform One, Party Bus, ODIN ISR
- Familiarity with Twelve-Factor App methodology
