Human Resources Administrative Assistant
Summary:
Opening exists for an experienced HR Administrative Assistant with basic knowledge of General Human Resources protocol.
Will be asked to serve on committees, run monthly reports, act as a liaison for outside companies, and work closely with Director of Human Resources and Director of Safety & Workman’s Compensation on various administrative functions.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Provide exceptional Customer Service to all guests.
2. Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
3. Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to photocopying, faxing, mailing, data entry, scanning, and filing.
4. Manage the Unemployment Account through complete and timely responses to claims, and through attendance at Hearings.
5. Oversee the Termination process, including, but not limited to processing in the system, verifying receipt of materials, and distributing the final check(s).
6. Coordinates meetings, conferences, and HR trainings.
7. Track and verify work card compliance throughout the company.
8. Support Human Resources staff in assigned project-based work.
9. Sort morning and afternoon mail.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Word, and Excel. Must have excellent telephone skills. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type 50 wpm. This is normally acquired through one to three years of clerical experience.
Must be able to obtain registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
Working Conditions:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Some traveling involved.
