POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Director of Clinic & HIV Services, the HIV Services Administrator is responsible for answering phone calls, organizing/managing the Arlene Cooper Community Health Center (ACCHC) schedule, and following up with clinic patients. With a focus on the reduction of stigma, the HIV Services Administrator interfaces with community members to educate them on HIV/AIDS through Center programs, services and events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Answer phone calls, schedule new and reoccurring patients for appointments, and address patient questions and concerns regarding treatment and follow up in the ACCHC.

· Prove accurate and detailed phone messages to providers and staff as needed.

· Manage positive MISTR referrals, contact patients for missed appointments and lab follow ups and provide monthly counts.

· Maintain the ACCHC during business hours and ensure that the space is clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.

· Maintain the ACCHC aesthetic with updated posters and patient information.

· Coordinate and keep count community outreach activities to increase awareness of HIV Counseling and Testing Services within the Men Who Have Sex with Men (MSM) community through distribution of flyers, email blasts, events, and testing sites at bars, clubs and similar establishments.

· Work as part of an interdisciplinary team with the Director of Clinic & HIV Services to provide clients with client-centered care, systems navigation, referrals and follow ups to increase awareness on what resources are available for the HIV positive community and to create a resource care to distribute via safer sex kits when HIV positive individuals collect their medication.

· Assist with recruitment and retention of clients, particularly those who are disconnected from care and services.

· Work closely with Director of HIV Services to coordinate education/trainings on harm reeducation, safer sex messages, and cultural sensitivity related to the HIV-positive and the LGBTQ communities with HIV/AIDS, who are not in care, to connect them to services and support group.

· Coordinate with AIDS Service Organization, Community Based Organizations, and other health care clinics to connect clients to treatment and care.

· Promote reduction of stigma campaigns and the distribution of Safer Sex kits through various distribution outlets.

· Provide administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Clinic & HIV Services as needed.

· Participate in assessment, evaluation, and development of HIV Services programming.

· Attend agency meetings, supervision and training as required.

· Maintain Ordering for the Center, including coordination of requisition for various vendors.

· Maintain and input EvaluationWebDatabase.

· Maintain data information for State STI grant.

· Maintain monthly data for clinic visit counts.

· Maintain accurate HIV test counts, condom counts, safe sex kit count.

· Coordinate volunteers within the clinic, from Opportunity Village and other community partners.

· Request and maintain Trac B, vending machine numbers monthly.

· Maintain temperature logs and controls for all rapid tests performed in the ACCHC.

· Maintain the quality assurance/quality control integrity of the ACCHC.

· Perform other duties as requested.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

· Bachelor’s degree in public health, Public Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or diploma and a minimum of one year of experience in non-profit or community advocacy work. Two years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

· Live in and have strong community ties to Clark County, including Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, and unincorporated Clark County.

· Proficient in Word / Excel / PowerPoint

· Possess a valid driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, valid car registration and insurance. Travel in a personal vehicle is required for this position.

· The ability to verify identity and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States, and completion of the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.

· Ability to pass a background check, finger printing, and a drug test.

WORK EXPERIENCE

· Experience with local HIV services, and familiarity with issues related to substance use, homelessness, mental health and other related co-occurring disorders.

· Fluency in English and Spanish highly preferred.

· Certification as Rapid HIV Test Counselor highly preferred or the ability to be certified within three months of employment.

· Ability to work with diverse groups in diverse settings, including in The Center as well as in the community.

· Social and cultural sensitivity with targeted populations.

· Good written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.

· Basic knowledge and experience with computers including Microsoft Office, Excel and data collection required.

· Ability to work flexible hours mostly evenings/weekends.

· Confidentiality- capable of maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality regarding client and organizational information.

· Client Centered- capable of working with individuals to identify needs and priorities and facilitate any positive change as a client defines that for themselves.

· Motivated- capable of taking the initiative and following a project through to completion.

· Organized- capable of prioritizing needs, goals, and objectives. Capable of maintaining all required information/data for ease of access for staff and clients.

· Problem Solver- capable of thinking on the spot to resolve problem situations as they arise. Able to assess relevant information, identify a range of options, and make client-centered recommendations.

Pay: $35,600.00 - $38,000.00 per year
