About The Role:Are you an HR professional with a passion for fostering an engaged and thriving workforce? Our team is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to become a driving force behind our commitment to employee well-being and organizational success. As Human Resources Generalist, you'll be at the forefront of our efforts to create an engaged and thriving workforce. You'll utilize your expertise across a range of HR functions, including benefits administration, recruitment, on-boarding, workers' compensation, compliance management, and other essential HR tasks. In this role, you'll make quality-focused decisions, providing input and drive change based on your specialized expertise. Your initiatives and people-centric approach will drive positive change, enhancing efficiency and employee satisfaction across the organization. Responsibilities: Benefits AdministrationEvaluate and advise on our health and wellness options including medical, dental, vision, FSA, voluntary plans and 401k in collaboration with our broker.Maintain accurate benefit plan information managing carrier websites for access, changes, and invoices.Oversee HRIS database management, updating carrier and plan details, maintaining eligibility, rules, and enrollments.Coordinate new hire and open enrollment processes, organize and conduct open enrollment meetings, and manage ACA reporting.Review benefit-related invoices, audit deductions on payroll, and collaborate with HRIS vendors for seamless data transmission.Act as an employee advocate for claim or carrier-related issues, including COBRA administration.Workers Compensation Ensure compliance with workers' compensation laws and procedures, updating new hire packets and postings for all states.Manage claims process, gathering necessary information, entering claims, and meticulously documenting all case details.Create and annually post OSHA logs, handling OSHA office communications and managing incident response accounts and forms.RecruitmentOversee end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring timely filling of vacancies.Manage HRIS/applicant tracking system to maintain candidate pipeline while ensuring compliance.Post job openings, update interview processes, and maintain interview guidelines.Conduct phone and follow-up interviews, reference checks, and skills assessments.Stay updated on talent acquisition trends and make recommendations for improvement.Manage offer letter templates and collaborate with departmental managers on hiring needs.Continuously look to enhance the candidate and internal recruitment experience through enhanced processes and efficiencies.Schedule and attend university career fairs, maintaining inventory and preparing materials.Onboarding:Ensure seamless integration of new hires into our organization by providing comprehensive guidance on processes and procedures.Facilitate completion of necessary documentation related to pay, benefits, wellness, and company policies.Coordinate and lead new hire orientation programs, providing essential resources for a smooth onboarding experience.Compliance:Uphold adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as recommended best practices, across all organizational operations.Manage and ensure compliance with ACA requirements, keeping abreast of updates and making necessary adjustments.Provide recommendations for updates to the Employee Handbook to reflect current regulations and company policies.Ensure all office locations maintain compliance with required postings, fostering a culture of legal and ethical responsibility.Other HR ItemsServe as a trusted resource, providing daily HR support to employees across all departments.Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in HR, talent management, and employment law domains.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.At least 5 years of human resources experience.Experience using HR Information Systems with the ability to learn new programs quickly. Experience with Dayforce is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.Professional, strong, and effective communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with a diverse staff.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Able to work with little direction; high initiative and organizational skills.Active human resources certification SHRM-CP or HRCI preferred.Some travel will be included to visit office locations, primarily in Northern California, as well as other recruitment efforts, as needed.Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000 yearly salary
