Fora is a next-generation travel platform that, through training and tools, enables anyone to become a travel agent. Fora's mission is to empower 100,000 entrepreneurs to transform their passion for travel into revenue, and we’re doing it by curating incredible experiences for travelers. 

Fora was founded in 2021 by travel entrepreneurs Henley Vazquez, Jake Peters and Evan Frank – who shared one big idea. Since then, we’ve grown to a team of 50 full-time employees, with an office headquarters in TriBeCa, New York City. We are fortunate to be backed by an incredible group of investors (Forerunner, Insight, Heartcore) and are looking for more talented and mission-driven individuals to join our team. 

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated analyst to join our Finance Team. As a Financial Operations analyst at Fora, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and play an important part in scaling our Finance function.

You will work closely with various departments to analyze data, identify and pursue automation efficiencies, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making. Your contributions will be integral to maintaining financial accuracy, optimizing processes, and driving the company's financial success.

Responsibilities

• Project managing offshore team to ensure tasks are completed timely. Enhance and formalize existing processes.
• Coordinating closely with travel partners, providing detailed reporting, and working with partners to establish more efficient payment methods. 
• Identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies throughout financial operations functions
• Assisting in improving the accounts receivable process and performing aging analyses to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of collections
• Various Ad-Hoc analyses as required

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Big Four Audit or Consulting, or high-growth startup.
• Proficiency in Excel required. Experience with visualization tools such as Metabase/Tableau required. Must be comfortable with large data sets. Modeling skills are a plus. 
• Strong strategic, big picture, analytical and problem-solving skills. Intellectually curious and growth mindset.
• Strong numerical aptitude with high degree of attention to detail.
• Experience building no-code or low-code solutions a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational Skills; Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with travel advisors, external stakeholders, and amongst the organization.
• A true team player, good collaborator, and trustworthy colleague.
• Interested in travel and startups

This role is based in New York City with at least three days in the office (Tuesdays-Thursdays). All Fora HQ members also have the optional opportunity to earn extra revenue on their own terms by booking travel as a Fora Advisor.

Compensation

• $70-90k equity, commensurate with experience
