The Business Analyst provides business support as a member of the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) by working with other teams and business units to execute projects according to project plans and business specifications. The individual works as a member of multiple project teams during inception, design, development, quality assurance and ongoing application maintenance for enterprise projects. The Business Analyst blends business skills and experience in leading cross-functional initiatives to facilitate sessions with multiple stakeholders to drive measurable results. The Business Analyst reports to the Director of Enterprise Project Management. This position works on-site, in-office in Tallahassee, Florida.
75% - Evaluates business processes, documents processes, and recommends efficient and effective solutions/updates

• Serves as a thought leader for technical and non-technical business processes and develops forward-thinking systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity
• Analyzes system and functional specifications
• Facilitates requirements and design sessions with business users and development team to ascertain and document detailed business requirements and design documents
• Assists in the analysis and documentation of business requirements for each assigned project to include software application enhancements and change requests
• Leads ongoing reviews of business processes and develops optimization strategies based
• Remains up to date on the latest process and information technology advancements to automate and modernize existing systems
• Assists users in the diagnosis of incidents reported, identifies problems, and provides instructions for resolutions
• Meets with multiple, cross functional business unit staff to understand and document user pain points and suggestions regarding existing system design
• Leads various internal and external information technology partners to define best solutions for future-state operations, ensuring solution is flexible and accommodating to future innovation and growth strategies

15% - Develops a deep understanding of existing business unit processes and data elements to increase efficiencies, promote adoption of technology and act as a subject matter expert during project activities

• Assists in the creation of technical specifications and design documentation based on business requirements
• Uses knowledge of business processes and data elements to ensure the greatest level of accuracy and appropriateness
• Conducts research on emerging topics related to business analytics, methods, and techniques
• Gathers critical information from meetings with various stakeholders
• Acts as a business liaison, work with customers to develop solutions and develop innovative strategies to meet the requirements
• Communicates insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
• Conducts training, knowledge transfer, creates test scripts and coordinates testing as needed

10% - Performs other duties as assigned

Seven years of related experience. Or any combination of education and/or experience equal to the minimum requirements. A postsecondary degree may be used as an alternative for years of direct experience; 2 years for an associate degree, 4 years for a bachelor’s degree, 6 years for a master’s degree, 7 years for a professional degree, or 9 years for a doctoral degree.
Preferences:

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, management information systems, information technology, or a related field
• System implementation and process improvement experience
• Experience and working knowledge of web-based applications
• Experience and working knowledge of finance, investments, or accounting

Hiring Range: $70,900 - $89,000
