Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Escort guests to their designated tables and provide menus
- Assist with seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of dining space
- Manage waitlist during peak hours and provide accurate wait time estimates
- Answer phone calls and take reservations or provide information about the restaurant
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and empathy
- Assist with any other tasks assigned by management
Experience:
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, such as Aloha POS, is a plus
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to create a positive dining experience for guests
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of restaurant or hotel operations is beneficial
