Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team as a Host/Host. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive dining experience. If you have a passion for food service and enjoy interacting with people, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Greet guests with a warm and welcoming smile
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Assist in seating guests according to their preferences and the restaurant's seating capacity
- Manage waitlists and reservations efficiently
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or reservations
- Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and lobby area
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate when necessary
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the food service industry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with POS systems, such as Aloha POS, is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
