Job Overview:

As the Client Services Accountant you will work closely with our accounting and community management teams to ensure prompt and accurate financial reporting and communication with internal and external customers.

Compensation:$55,000 annually, depending on experience

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Your Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review association financial statements, P&L variances and bank reconciliations
• Prepare, review and resolve banking issues
• Processes bank account transfers
• Monitor bank accounts to identify excess funds for opportunities to improve investment income
• Support management in the preparation of annual operating budgets
• Review expense coding and approves invoices in the A/P (AVID) system
• Assist with review of association shortfall funding requests if deemed necessary
• Follow accounting schedules by preparing accruals, prepaid schedules, or receivables schedules
• Respond to accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
• Conduct research on any outstanding or unexplained items
• Communicate with management, BOD members, developers and bank representatives as needed
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts
• Maintain strong documentation standards and audit trails
• Analyze and post end-of-year audit entries
• Assist in special requests and projects as needed

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting (Preferred)
• 2 Years accounting experience (Preferred)
• Property management experience a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting/standing for extended time periods
• Use of keyboard, calculator, scanners, bank scanners
• Use of computer, internet, intranet, video training, meetings

Work Location:Scottsdale Corporate Office, 9000 E Pima Center Pkwy Scottsdale, AZ 85258

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8a – 5p
