OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Construction Assistant to join our team. As a Construction Assistant, you will provide administrative support and assist with project coordination, scheduling and tracking. We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, computer literate, takes initiative, is friendly, respectful, energetic, encouraging, professional, and has high expectations for themselves and their teams. WHAT YOU BRING

  • Administrative background required.
  • Proficient in computers, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills including excellent spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Strong Attention to Detail & Excellent Organizational Skills
  • Must be able to organize employees, trade partners and communicate with homeowners in a professional manner.
  • Ability to use technology to manage, track, and communicate for projects.
  • Strong work ethic, organization, and time management skills. MUST be self-regulated and know how to take the initiative to get things done on time and to a high standard of excellence.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills & a Friendly, Helpful Attitude
  • Should be familiar with the Denver Metro Surrounding Areas
  • Willingness to Learn New Things & Assist with Finding Solutions
  • Must be Self-motivated and able to work independently after training and also as part of a team.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assist with project coordination, including scheduling and coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries, ordering materials.
  • Maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
  • Coordinate meetings and appointments and manage calendars and schedule appointments using Outlook and BuilderTrend
  • Assist with all office operations including handling incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner, scheduling of work and resources, and electronic and paper filing.
  • Limited/general human resource functions and benefits administration. Payroll maintenance
  • Follow-Up & Call Back Customer Leads, (No Cold Calling).
  • Responsible for administrative aspects of the position including responding to emails, helping sales team to put together estimates and contracts, documentation, scope of work, project notebooks, making sure BuilderTrend is set up as needed, and any other necessary administrative tasks which the job requires.
  • Responsible for helping create Onsite Work Box and making sure that it and the job site notebook are onsite before the first day of construction.
  • Working with Project Manager to be responsible for documenting and finalizing Client Home Manual.
  • Communicate with the entire team, not only through BuilderTrend but also via text, phone, and email to make sure that things are communicated and acknowledged in an accurate, prompt, and respectful manner.
  • Eventually handle invoices, billing, and payroll.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A $1,000.00 signing bonus paid out in two payments after 6 and 9 months on the job.
  • This is an hourly W-2 position, pay rate is $23 to $27/hour ($47,840 to $56,160/year) based on experience.
  • Company phone to access BuilderTrend, document projects, and communicate with team, subcontractors & clients while employed with FTC.
  • Company computer while employed with FTC.
  • Health insurance (Kaiser) on the first day of the month following 30 days on the job.
  • 6 Paid holidays
  • 1-week paid vacation per year (increasing to 2 weeks after 2 years performance.)

SCHEDULE:
