FedData Technology Solutions, LLC is seeking a Sales Executive with experience selling hardware and software to the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community and Federal Agencies. This individual will be responsible for generating new leads, establishing relationships with potential clients, creating a strong client base, supporting proposal generation, and managing customer relationships throughout the sales process.
• Act as a subject matter expert in Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community and federal agency sales and maintain current knowledge of the current requirements of the USG with respect to purchasing, and the capabilities that exist today/and are emerging throughout industry and the government spaces.
• Identify and pursue opportunities where we create value and/or reduces costs for customers with their mission as a guiding factor.
• Provide feedback to various teams for process or product improvements identified through sales processes as required.
• Field inbound sales inquiries related to product information, pricing, and technical requirements.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key technical, operational, acquisition and business executives and decision makers.
• Create and deliver face-to-face sales presentations that demonstrate understanding of the customer’s mission, needs, and budget.
• Represent FDTS with our partner companies to include Original Equipment Manufacturers, distributors and vendors.
• Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must have 10 years of experience as an Account Executive or Sales Person OR Bachelor’s degree in Sales or related field and at least five years of experience in sales, public relations, or other related fields accepted in lieu of 10 years of experience.
• At least five years of experience prospecting, accumulating leads, closing and achieving set targets.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with others while maintaining customer relationships and impacting satisfaction rates.
• Demonstrated presentation and communication skills.
Desired/Preferred Skills:• Top Secret Clearance• Experience / Relationships with the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, and Federal Agencies
Working Conditions:Work will typically be remote, with travel to customer locations, professional forums, with occasional trips to the corporate offices in Annapolis Junction, MD. Business hours will be contingent on your customer base and corporate requirements, extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be provided to the candidate by the Business Unit/Hiring Manager.Physical Requirements:May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs.
