Farmers Insurance 1475 is Hiring an Insurance Customer Service Representative Near Saint Charles, MO

We're looking for someone passionate about providing excellent customer service to the clients and policyholders. As our next Insurance Customer Service Representative, you will show our policyholders the value of being one of our customers by generating insurance quotations and providing coverage advice. You'll also be in charge of giving current policyholders excellent customer service by resolving billing issues, amending policies, and making policy suggestions. The ideal candidate for this role has prior customer service experience and excellent communication skills. If this sounds like you, apply now!

Compensation:

$16 - $20 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming call center questions about insurance policies and insurance coverage issues, as well as consumer complaints and general inquiries
  • Keep track of all customer inquiries and follow up to verify that all questions are answered regarding customer policies
  • Validate client insurance coverage and present policyholders with proof of insurance documents
  • Track current marketing activities, so you can appropriately respond to insurance-related inquiries with all of the resources at your disposal
  • Communicate with the customers about complaints, give acceptable solutions, and follow up to ensure that the problem was fixed
  • Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales
  • Establish client relationships and follow up with clients, as needed
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly client support
  • Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day
  • Develop new financial service opportunities with both existing and new clients
Qualifications:
  • Previous customer service experience required for this position
  • A general understanding of insurance policies and schedules is preferred
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office and customer relationship management software
  • Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must possess exemplary interpersonal skills, communication skills, and active listening skills
  • Sales experience or a client-facing background is a plus
  • Insurance experience is preferred, but not required
  • Proven track record of trustworthiness, dependability, and ethical behavior
  • Must be coachable
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and listening
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be motivated and determined
  • Must have a positive attitude, be organized, and be reliable
