As Senior Director, Product at Bezos Academy, you will strategically oversee a new initiative to develop and deploy groundbreaking products to support educational outcomes for children. You will establish your own team to creatively deliver on this vision while partnering with early learning and child development specialists. You will research and propose solutions, optimize product design and content, lay the roadmap for logistics and technical requirements, create and control timelines leading to launch, and then consistently evaluate user experience to inform continuous improvements.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, salaried position.
• The full salary range for this position in Seattle, WA, is $232,000– $395,000 per year. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by qualifications and prior experience.
• This role includes 15 paid days of vacation, 4 days of paid personal time off, 7 paid days of sick (care) time, 9 paid holidays, 5 paid days off for an organization-wide winter break, and additional time off if required by applicable law. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Twelve or more years of product or technology management experience, with eight or more years of multifunctional and/or interdisciplinary team management
• Eight or more years of expertise in ecommerce, inventory management, order fulfillment, digital marketing, mobile apps, and integrating with 3rd party services, and analytics
• Track record of delivering, from the ground up, customer-centric products with total oversight and ultimate accountability
• Expertise in owning product roadmaps, conducting customer research, driving user testing, and making critical decisions on trade-offs between features versus time-to-market
• Superior communication and analytical skills, including the ability to identify and solve ambiguous and/or technical problems and then convey key info back to diverse audiences
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with leading time-sensitive products or tools destined for national scalability, reliability, and performance
• Track record of using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions, with strong analytic skills
• High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence people and teams at all levels and backgrounds
• Experience in the education sector or a related field
• Supply chain and material development expertise
