Overview
The primary responsibility of the Runner is to aid servers and captains during service. They work in unison with one another to serve guests in a timely manner. Runners play an integral role in delivering the highest standard of guest service by ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
Primary roles and responsibilities
•Provides detailed orientated, prompt and responsive service to create a pleasant dining experience for guests
•Demonstrates full menu knowledge and can respond to guest inquiries
•Possesses knowledge of floor plan and table numbers
•Performs opening and closing responsibilities in a timely and detailed manner
•Ensures all food is properly garnished and presented prior to delivering it out to a guest
•Delivers food from the kitchen to the guest rapidly and accurately
•Serves water to guests and refills beverage glasses as needed
•Assists servers, captains and bussers when necessary throughout service
•Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
•Performs any other duties as assigned

Requirements
•A minimum of one (1) year experience in a high-volume restaurant environment
•Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
•Strong verbal communication skills
•Able to work both independently and as part of a team
•Able to multi-task, is receptive to feedback and direction
•Remains calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
