POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist assists and supports all of the functions of the Human Resources Department including the planning and implementation of the Human Resources Plan for the company. The position recruits, screens, interviews and places workers into employment opportunities within the company. The Human Resources Generalist also will onboard new employees and supervise background checks and training for new employees. The position will support the Director of Human Resources and our hiring managers regarding current human resource laws, regulations and policies and assist with other human functions to support the mission and goals of ERI at Home.
RESPONSIBILITIES
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in business management or human resources
Experience: Must have one to three years of experience in Human Resources and working with a HR Information System
Computer Skills: Must possess strong computer skills including spreadsheet pivot tables, macros, excel formulas, etc.
Certificates & Licenses: SHRM or PHR certification preferred.
Skills: must have strong relationship building skills and interpersonal and listening skills in connecting with candidates and internal business managers; effective and strong written and verbal communication skills; assertively address problems and issues; strong organization skills to manage information and data; quickly responds to customers, applicants and internal business managers; meets deadlines; capable of working in a growth environment; maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws, regulations, benefits laws, and other state or local or federal laws impacting the workforce; strong decision making and judgement skills; strong discretion in protecting sensitive information of employees.
