Reporting to the VP Human Resources and Sustainability, the Total Rewards Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of company’s compensation, pension, benefits, disability management, employee health and wellness plans, payroll and HRIS. This includes designing, planning, and implementing corporate policies and procedures in a cost-effective manner that adhere to legal requirements, support the organization’s goals and competitive practices and that meet the needs of our employees. Role Responsibilities: Compensation: Develop salary polices to ensure pay practices remain equitable and competitive. Conduct job evaluations, collect and analyze survey data to benchmark company’s position within the market and ensure compensation policies adhere to local and federal standards.Pension: Design, manage and administer retirement programs including DB, DC and 401k plans. Provide expert advice and research for pension governance, manage contracts and maximize cost saving opportunities with multiple vendors within Canada, US and Chile.Payroll/HRIS: Ensure timely and accurate payroll for all sites and manage HRIS system requirements and integrity of the system. Responsible for monthly and quarterly HR metric and reporting.Benefits/Wellness: Design, manage and administer global health care plans and manage contracts and maximize cost saving opportunities with multiple vendors within Canada, US and Chile.Mergers and Acquisitions: Participates in M&A projects as the HR representative including: data gathering; compensation, benefits and pension analysis; HR Admin; onboarding; and payroll.Management: manage 4 direct reports and 2 indirect reports. Hold regular 1:1 meetings with the employees to coach and develop the team.Participate in special projects as required. Other responsibilities as required. Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements: University or college degree/diplomas with an HR or accounting focus or related disciplineCertified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Benefits Professional (CEBS) is highly preferred.A minimum of 10 years’ progressive compensation, pension, and payroll experience, including CAN/US and unionized environments.A minimum of 3 years of managerial experience.Knowledge of HRIS systems (Dayforce) is an asset.Strong understanding and current knowledge of all Federal and Provincial and US/state Government legislations.Strong service orientation to both internal and external customers Excellent written and verbal communication skills; appropriately communicates with all levels of customers. Desire to work in a fast-paced environment. Results oriented and able to manage multiple projects.
