Professional Services Technical Project Manager

The Technical Manager position is a project manager role with the additional skill set of knowing and understanding software development lifecycles and the ability to architect and design software solutions. The Technical Manager will be the primary point of contact for all technical and/or customization projects which are commonly smaller projects within an overarching ERP implementation project with its own Implementation Project Manager.

What you will be doing:

• Project Scope Development
  • Gather requirements for solutions through discovery.
  • Develop the solution design, scope, deliverables, budget, and timeline either directly or in coordination with additional team members.
  • Obtain agreement on scope, budget, deliverables, and timeline.
  • Provide estimates and statements of work.
  • Communicate project execution process and expectations.
• Project Plan Execution
  • Primary point of contact for all technical project work.
  • Staff project plan tasks.
  • Monitor adherence to plan.
  • Update Master Project Tracker and deliver regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Institute change management process when scope, budget, or timelines need to change.
  • Coordinate solution delivery, testing, rework tasks.
  • Obtain sign-off that delivered solutions meet final project scope and close project.

What you will likely bring:

• Ability to research and design solutions for identified software gaps.
• Ability to gather requirements and create design documentation for custom software solutions.
• Solid organizational, project management and time management skills.
• Customer centric, results oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision.
• Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills, including virtual presentations.
• Manages expectations and establishes solid working relationships through the management level.
• Ability to travel up to 35%*

Qualification:

• 3 years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
• PMP Certification is a plus
• Product management experience is a plus
• Epicor Kinetic or Epicor ERP experience is a plus
