ENZO LIFE SCIENCES is Hiring a National Sales Manager Near New York, NY

Major Responsibilities:

This position is accountable for meeting and exceeding revenue objectives within an assigned region, as well as developing and maintaining an expert understanding of the Enzo Life Science product mix and subsequent value proposition for key products targeted into the territory’s life science market. This position leverages product knowledge to develop, grow, and maintain relationships with customers in all product market segments, balancing an optimized combination of sales channels. In addition, the Sales Manager executes on a strategic sales plan to create greater awareness for ELS products with the goal of generating greater product demand. This position is responsible for a team of Account Managers and Sales Specialists who will execute on the regional sales plan.

Specific Duties:

  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals for a region, set of accounts, set of key products, and/or specified business partners.
  • Lead, Support and Coach the regional sales team to achieve individual and collective sales goals, and deliver sustainable revenue growth. With the regional team, proactively qualify and close new and sustainable business allowing the company to meet and/or exceed its revenue, product, and new customer targets.
  • Supervise the Major Key Accounts business including negotiation of agreements, integration of products into company procurement systems, monthly joined visits with the sales team, etc.
  • Participate in the development and execution of strategic sales plan for area of responsibility.
  • Develop and deliver technical seminars, participate in trade and vendor shows and conferences, and establish institutional and key account supply contracts.
  • Partner cross-functionally with other managers to synchronize sales strategies with global objectives, strategic initiatives and around existing and future marketing campaigns.
  • Gain a strong technical understanding of ELS product content and value propositions with the goal of cross-selling the ELS product line.
  • Consistently monitor performance metrics of the regional sales team including Sales Activities and Revenue.
  • Provide weekly report including monthly, quarterly and annual forecast, summary of the large opportunities and sales activities for the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure that the regional sales team follow Enzo processes and utilize defined Enzo systems, including the use of the CRM system.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relations with departments across the organization.
  • Lead project teams as assigned.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a life sciences related field; Advanced Degree preferred.

Experience: At least 5 years of sales experience and 2 years of commercial management into the Life Sciences related industry

Skills: Superior customer service and oral/written communication skills, including strong negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to implement a business plan, manage strategic partnerships, and negotiate partnership deals. Strong interest in cell biology/drug discovery and various industry platform knowledge. Strong problem-solving and analytical ability, and attention to detail. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time effectively, and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Professional demeanor and ability to handle difficult customers with tact. Basic business math skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and with a wide range of people. Computer proficiency required.

Travel: 30 - 50%
