English Construction is Hiring a HR Administrative Assistant Near Lynchburg, VA

English Construction Company is looking to hire an office staff member to provide clerical support for the Human Resources and Accounting staff.

Duties

  • Prepares and maintains employee termination, new-hire, and absentee reports.
  • Processes and records employee drug screenings.
  • Reviews and responds to child support inquiries and orders.
  • Reviews and responds to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation. Reviews monthly unemployment statements.
  • Completes administrative tasks that include answering phones, processing mail, and filing.
  • Completes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for EEO and DOL requirements.
  • Maintains records of and submission of certified payroll on Davis Bacon projects.
  • Maintains records of company drivers.
  • Completes internal HR audits.
  • Posts company job ads and contacts potential applicants for interview.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor(s).

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
