EmpowerMe Wellness, LLC is Hiring a Human Resource Generalist Near Austin, TX

Overview

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for providing operational and employee-facing human resource functions including employee orientation, compensation analysis and benchmarking, employee relations support and guidance, advisement on pro-active and strategic human resource planning, generating reports, and enforcing company policies and practices, as well as providing oversight of the administration of leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA reasonable accommodations and other leaves of absence. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, energetic, and passionate about creating a positive impact on our employees’ lives and the success of the company’s mission and core values

Responsibilities

· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; recognition, and morale.

· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex and/or sensitive matters when necessary.

· Maintains employee records ensuring completion and accuracy of detail such as employee information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key items.

· Attends and participates in employee disciplinary discussions, terminations, and investigations.

· Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action in partnership with the HR Manager/Director.

· Provides feedback and guidance to leadership regarding attraction, development, and retention.

· Implements and administers appropriate policies and programs for effective management of people resources. Included in this area are programs for employee relations, affirmative action, sexual harassment, employee complaints, external education, and career development, among others.

· Leads training and educational workshops for management teams related to interpersonal skills and effective leadership.

· Provides oversight of leave administration, return to work programs, and accommodation requests, ensuring all state and federal regulations are being followed.

· Identifies and communicates state regulations for new state entry and/or regulatory changes and additions.

· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

· Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

· At least 5 years of human resource management experience is preferred.

· Strong background in administering Leave of Absence/FMLA

· Strong background in investigating and resolving employee relation issues

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.

· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
