Elsdon Consulting is Hiring a Construction Superintendent Near Richmond, VA
An established General Contractor are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Superintendent to join their team. As a Construction Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing commercial construction projects from inception to completion. This position requires a strong combination of leadership, organizational, and technical skills, as well as a deep understanding of commercial construction processes. This role will require some travel!
Responsibilities of the Construction Superintendent:
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Monitor project budgets and expenses, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee the implementation of quality control measures to ensure construction work meets industry standards and client expectations.
- Develop and maintain construction schedules, making adjustments as necessary to accommodate changes or unforeseen challenges.
Qualifications of the Construction Superintendent:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, codes, and regulations.
- Commercial / Retail / Restaurant experience
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
